Welcome to the website of Findlay, Ohio's local group of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is dedicated to the recreation of medieval times (specifically 6th to the 16th Centuries).
Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Actively Participating in Medieval Themed Events
- Heavy Weapons Fighting (Suits of Armor/Sword and Shield)
- Light Weapons Fighting (Fencing/Archery)
- Period Clothes Making
- Equestrian Arts
- Brewery
- Period Dancing
- Armor Making
- Period Cooking
- Illumination
- ...and much much more.
Catteden and the Society for Creative Anachronism are non-profit organizations. There is a fee for official membership, however, official membership is not required for participation in the SCA. All classes for the above activities are free, although, depending upon the class, they may ask for a small donation to cover the cost of materials.
